awhn This was the year. THIS was the year we saved up so that we could finally fly to NYC and attend the Slackers Boat Cruise after talking about it for decades. So of course this year went bonkers and we couldn't go. Anyway, this release is top to bottom bangers and makes me look forward to 2021 when hopefully the world will be slightly less bonkers and we can finally hit the high seas with our favorite band.

The Slackers' Summer Boat Cruise are a 20 year tradition in NYC. This one apparently left the dock right before midnight on June 27th, 2009.

Boat gigs always have a crazy energy. They are chaotic. The boat tips and pitches. We have had power outages. But as you hear the love comes through. There is a special energy.

Be aware that this is a true live recording. No overdubs. No edits. It is a little noisy at times.

We hope the energy of that night comes through. A night of us playing before our friends, on a boat, in our hometown.
